What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are where you find community as you build relationships with others. These groups meet each week to fellowship as they cultivate meaningful relationships, and connect through prayer and Scripture reading. It's our prayer that these groups will be places you can be authentic and open with one another. Through these relationships, we can build one another up in our personal walk with Christ.

NLC Bible Reading Plan

New Life seeks to equip and encourage believers by pointing the followers of Jesus back to His Word. Reading the Bible is an essential discipline for the followers of Jesus Christ. Taking the time to read the Bible is one of the ways that a Christian grows closer to the Lord and cultivates a relationship with Him. However, the goal is not simply checking off a box when reading the Bible. New Life Church wants to promote a method that will encourage the Christian to grow (understand God’s Word) and be transformed (motivated to action) by the power of God’s Word.

Our goal through 2025 is to journey through the New Testament with a focus on rightly dividing the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15) by exploring each passage within its intended context, as written by each author. This approach emphasizes understanding each book’s genre, themes, and purpose while weaving the gospels throughout the year.

There is a genre-based organization: We are dividing the New Testament into its primary genres:

Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
History: Acts.
Pauline Epistles: Romans through Philemon.
General Epistles: Hebrews through Jude.
Apocalyptic: Revelation.

Berry Life Group
This group is comprised of young families and meets on Sunday nights from 5pm-7pm.

Eason Life Group
​The Eason Life Group is a  group of middle aged families, and meets from 5pm-7pm.

Hill Life Group
​The Hill Life Group meets Sunday evenings from 5pm-7pm. The group open to all age groups.

Hodowanic Life Group
​The Hodowanic Life Group meets on Sunday evenings at 5pm.

Lawrence Life Group 
​The Lawrence Life Group meets on Sunday evenings from 5PM-7PM. 

Coghill Life Group
​The Coghill Life Group is a large multi-generational group that meets from 6pm-8pm.

Farhat Life Group
​The Farhat Life Group meets on Sunday nights from 5pm-7pm.

Hinson Life Group
The Hinson Life Group meets on Sunday nights from 5pm-7pm.

Horvath Life Group
​The Horvath Life Group consists of families and singles.

Price Life Group
​The Price Life Group meets Sunday nights from 5pm-8pm. 

Colop Life Group
The Colop Life Group meets once a month and is a great opportunity for the young adults at New Life to connect with each other. ​
