What is Discipleship?
Discipleship is the process of creating followers of Jesus who have been transformed by Jesus. The goal is not merely conversion, the goal is to abide in Jesus and have Jesus abide in you. Jesus abiding in a person will empower disciples to carry out the mission of the gospel.
What are Discipleship Groups?
The discipleship group is an avenue to help build followers of Jesus Christ who abide in Jesus. Discipleship Groups (D-Groups) are small, intentional groups of 3-5 believers who commit to meeting regularly (weekly or biweekly) to grow in their faith, hold each other accountable, and pursue Jesus together. Rooted in the biblical discipleship model (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 2:2), D-Groups focus on strengthening personal relationships with Jesus resulting in equipped followers of Jesus Christ.
